What do you do if you have a mechanical break down on a ride out of town?
Having a complete tool kit for your bike is the most important item that you can carry with you when you ride. Whether you put one together yourself or buy a pre-made kit you will be glad to have it when you need it.
Here’s a few on the market kits that are available through various retailers. It goes without saying that if you are riding an import than you will need to buy a metric tool kit.
Make sure the kit that you buy has the tools in it that fit the various fittings on your bike.
Here’s a few that we would recommend taking a look at.

What do you do if you have a flat on that long ride out in the middle on nowhere?
Even though motorcycle tires are a lot better than they were there is still a chance of picking up a sharp object out on the road. Most long distance riders carry some sort of pressure to pump the tire up enough to get to a repair center. However, you still need the material to repair the tire before you re-inflate it. Here’s a few kits that you can consider buying to put in your saddlebag.

Stop and Go Fix-n-Flate Motorcycle Tire Repair Kit       Price: $30.00
Information and Details about the Stop and Go Fix-n-Flate Motorcycle Tire Repair Kits
made by Stop and Go. After performing the unpleasant task of dismounting your deflated tube-type tire, you can patch the tube with these six feather edge cold patches that self vulcanize from friction heat and rubber cement.  You need not dismount your tubeless tire as this kit includes five reinforced rubber string plugs for an 'on the wheel' repair using the split-eye needle insertion tool.  This brand new kit comes in a heavy-duty zippered canvas bag that measures 7" in diameter x 1 1/4" thick and weighs only 14 oz.  It features the Engine-Air Pump with a longer 5 foot hose and quick release lever. Motorcycles with easy access to their spark plugs can utilize this unit for an unlimited supply of clean outside air. It works on twins and multi-cylinder engines
Not recommended for Honda ST Series motorcycles or late model BMW motorcycles because the pump adapters will not fit your cylinder head.  All Harley-Davidsons use the 14mm adapter except the Sportster which uses the 12mm

What do YOU do if you have a dead battery when you get on your bike to take a ride?
Well, first kick the side of the barn and then blame yourself for not turning off your iginition, perhaps? What you should have done is purchase a ‘battery tender’ and keep it plugged in to your bike when you are not using it. You could also start not using the ‘kill’ switch when you turn off your bike and use the key ignition instead.
Here’s a few battery tenders that will keep your battery loaded and ready for when every you feel the need to hop on and hit the road.
Harley-Davidson’s Super Smart Battery Tender           Price: $40.00
